Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page lists exactly what hostgear.my stores, why, and how you stay in control. We keep our use deliberately minimal.

1. Strictly Necessary Storage

These items are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off through the banner:

PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) — a random identifier that protects our contact form against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser.
hg_consent (local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we do not ask you on every page. It stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice.

2. Analytics Cookies (Only With Your Consent)

If — and only if — you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, we may enable basic analytics that tell us which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify individuals. If you click “Reject”, no analytics run at all and the site works identically.

3. What We Do Not Use

No advertising or retargeting cookies.
No social media tracking pixels.
No cross-site profiling of any kind.
No sale or sharing of browsing data with data brokers.

4. Changing Your Choice

Click the round cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of any page to reopen the banner and change your decision. You can also clear the stored choice through your browser settings (usually under “Site data” or “Cookies and site permissions”), after which the banner will appear again on your next visit.

5. Third-Party Content

Our contact page embeds a Google Maps frame to show our office location. Google may set its own cookies when that frame loads; their use is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. The map loads lazily, only when you scroll to it.
